Let's go across the river to North Lawrence and visit the newest shop along N. 2nd St; Botanical Dreams of Lawrence! Located next door to Uplift Coffee Co - you might grab their seasonal special Tiramisu Cold Foam latte while you're there - it's just a couple minutes from Downtown Lawrence. This isn't your typical garden store, it's also a hub for small local makers and artists, with a specialty focus on water gardens and koi ponds! 
They have a fun selection of flowers and pollinator plants, succulents and cacti, as well as some herbs and vegetable transplants and more. Indoors, you'll find several types of fish and other live creatures, and even feeder insects to keep them healthy!
Interspersed throughout the shop are little displays featuring various local makers and artists, including my friend Laurel's Treeline Creations teas and salves, beautiful beaded earrings, handmade candles, soaps, pottery, and so much more. My 4 year old kiddo was so excited about all the metal yard decor figures scattered around inside and out...from goats to sunflowers to Minions!
Stop by Botanical Dreams and explore! Shop their store at 612 N 2nd St, Lawrence KS during their Summer Hours: Monday-Saturday 9am-7pm and Sunday 10am-7pm. They also have a seasonal pop-up shop located in the parking lot of 6th St and Monterey Way by Tommy's Car Wash open Monday-Sunday 9:30am-7pm.
