Let's face it, it's not easy to be a human some days. Adulting can be stressful and leave us feeling depressed and depleted. Would you believe me if I told you that your home design, or lack of, may be adding to that heavy load?
Turns out what we surround ourselves with in our living spaces.... color, texture, decor choices.... it all matters to our brains. If you put little or no effort into your design style, you could be depriving yourself of dopamine. The very thing that makes you feel pleasure and motivates you to keep going.
Dopamine design is a trend that uses color, patterns, and textures to create a space that reflects your personality and excites your senses.
Every human being is unique, and what gives them that dopamine hit may vary. However, we cannot run away from the fact that vivid colors and textures change things up in our brains. Many of us are not built to exist in a neutral washed, bland space. It's time to embrace what gives us that good feeling and not apologize for it.
Life is too short! Collect things you love and display them, use color and don't be afraid to mix them, be bold with fun patterns and textures.... create a playful and cozy space that treats your eyes and feeds your soul.
Let the dopamine flow!
And if you struggle to bring it all together cohesively.... hire yourself a designer!
