One of my favorite things about Lawrence is the vibrant creator community, and what a better way to support our local artists, makers, farmers and small businesses than by making an effort to shop local during this season. If you know
me, you know I’m a planner…seeing all the save-the-dates and market fliers popping up, I want to help you plan too with this easy and as-comprehensive-as-I-can-make-it guide to shopping holiday markets in Lawrence, KS! Although several markets are more than one day, they are listed in order of when they first show up on the calendar. Check out the shareable graphic below!

Saturday November 23, 10am-2pm: $20 or Less Flea Market at Repetition Coffee (512 E 9th St Ste C, Lawrence, KS), hosted by Groupie Candles. This event will showcase 10+ small and local vendors, everything for $20 or less! Although not required, bringing cash makes it easy on the vendors. Info HERE.
Saturday November 23, 10am-3pm: Haskell Open Market at Stidham Union at Haskell Indian Nations University. This relaxed community market will feature vendors of all kinds, from arts and crafts to ready-eat-foods. Info HERE.
Saturday November 23 & Sunday November 24, 9am-5pm both days: Pendleton’s Holiday Open House at Pendleton’s Country Market & Farm (1446 E 1850 Rd, Lawrence, KS). This annual event will showcase goods from 30+ vendors, as well as seasonal offerings from the farm’s own country store. Info HERE.
Friday November 29, 5-9pm & Saturday 30, 9am-5pm: Bizarre Bazaar at Lawrence Arts Center (940 New Hampshire St, Lawrence KS). This annual Thanksgiving Weekend event transforms the Lawrence Arts Center into a magical marketplace filled to the brim with art! With works from 65+ artists, there is something for every personality and pricepoint. Info HERE.
Saturday November 30, 9am-5pm & Sunday December 1, 11am-4pm: Vinland Valley's Plantaland Pop-Up Mall at Vinland Valley Nursery (1606 N 600 Rd, Baldwin City, KS). Located just 10 minutes south of Lawrence, Vinland Valley Nursery is hosting a two day shopping event with 10+ local vendor pop-ups, White Tail Run Winery and their own Botanical Coffeeshop serving up seasonal beverages, Pictures with Planta, DIY Terrarium, Planter Bough, Botanical Bauble and Winter Garland bars, Wreath Making Workshop, and more! Saturday November 30 & Sunday December 1, 9am-5pm both days: Pendleton’s Holiday Open House at Pendleton’s Country Market & Farm (1446 E 1850 Rd, Lawrence, KS) runs for a second weekend! This annual event will showcase goods from 30+ vendors, as well as seasonal offerings from the farm’s own country store. Info HERE.
Saturday November 30, 7-9pm Adornment Opening Night Celebration at Van Go (715 New Jersey St, Lawrence, KS), followed by varying shopping hours until December 19, plus online shopping. Adornment is Van Go’s annual holiday art show & sale featuring goods created by Van Go Apprentice Artists. Info HERE.
Saturday December 7, 9am-4pm: Lawrence Parks & Rec Holiday Extravaganza Crafts Fair at Sports Pavilion Lawrence (100 Rock Chalk Lane, Lawrence KS). This shopping event on the west side of Lawrence at Rock Chalk Park will host many local vendors selling both commercial and handmade goods, from jewelry to homegoods. Info HERE.

Saturday December 14, 9am-4pm: Holiday Farmer’s Market at the Douglas County Fairgrounds (2120 Harper St, Lawrence, KS). 40+ vendors of the Lawrence Farmer's Market gather back together for this amazing seasonal shopping event! With expanded product offerings, you can find something for everyone...holiday sweets and treats, wine, handmade arts and crafts, herbal products and body care gifts, and so much more. Info HERE.
Saturday December 14, 11am-3pm: Winterlight Faire and Open House at Prairie Moon Waldorf School (1853 E 1600 Rd, Lawrence, KS). This family-friendly event is Prairie Moon’s biggest community event, featuring crafts and activities for children, holiday
marketplace shopping with a small group of local vendors, food trucks (Uplift Coffee Truck and This’N That LFK), live music and more. Info HERE.

KS). The Inclusive Winter Market is back for a second year, hosted by Monique Mercurio (Merctribe Designs) with support of KQ Design Co (Kassidee Quaranta)! Gathering 100 artists and makers with a focus on uplifting BIPOC and Queer artists, there will be holiday cheer for ALL. Info HERE.
